It is with a great sense of gratitude and satisfaction that I write my final message as LES Benelux President. As of 1st of January 2022, my esteemed colleague Kathleen de Belder will assume the role of President, and I cannot think of anyone more qualified and prepared to serve as your 2022-2023 President.
Indeed, all of the Board members with whom I’ve had the pleasure to serve are imminently qualified to help lead society into the future.
I am truly humbled and honoured to become part of such an outstanding group of individuals who have served the LES Benelux in this role, as I transition to the role of Immediate Past President, and take up a less prominent position as treasurer,
As I look back over the past two years, I am immensely proud of what our society has accomplished during such difficult times, transposing the core of our activities onto a more virtual activity, and maintaining the impetus to keep our society alive, and coming back in force with our recent successful licensing course and advanced subjects topic day.
For now, suffice it to say that our society’s members have done an outstanding job of moving society forward in spite of numerous challenges.
Finally, I would simply like to thank every LES Benelux member for allowing me the privilege of serving as your President over the past two years. It is an experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life. You, the members, are the reason our society exists and the reason why we as leaders do what we do, so thank you!
I pray that you and your loved ones remain safe, and I wish you Happy Holidays!
